Roehr’s Expandable Cavities, Ex-Cavs, were developed to mold parts with external details such as threads, ribs, grooves, barbs and dimples, without the need for conventional side action components such as slides, gibs and locks. This innovative system saves considerable space in the mold allowing for a smaller mold base or increased cavitation. Every Expandable Cavity is manufactured from high quality, certified tool steel and is heat treated under strict specifications to ensure reliable performance and long life.
