The Company

Roehr Tool Corporation - Ribbon CuttingRoehr Tool Corporation was founded in 1968 to build and sell the patented Collapsible Core under the leadership of its founder, George Roehr. Roehr was a mechanical engineer who graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and he developed and manufactured the Collapsible Core in Waltham, MA.

In the early 1980’s, the company developed its now popular Minicores for small applications and about a decade later the Expandable Cavities for external forming of threads and undercuts was introduced.

Roehr Tool’s products are recognized throughout the world as remarkable, intricate mechanical tools manufactured with very high tolerances, even before the advent of Wire EDM. In addition, Roehr’s products were instrumental in the early development of tamper-proof closures and child-safe caps. Roehr continues to provide alternative tooling options for a wide spectrum of industries such as automotive, plumbing, cosmetics, electrical, medical and more.

Today, Roehr Tool’s future as part of the PCIC Group of Companies is very exciting; with the development of additional innovative products to better serve the plastics tooling industry.
